How do you chop down trees?

I just started playing today, and I can't figure out how to use my axe....
Also, how do you farm? I learned plant mastery, but I still don't have the option to do anything related to farming.

OOOH! Hahaha. I just figured it out: it has to be equipped, not just in the inventory. Makes sense.

edit: wait.. no. When I right click the trees I still don't have the option to chop them down.

So where does it explain how to use an axe or chop wood...? Do I have to use the "destroy" option? I'm confused.

The skill tree was very useful to know about, though. Now I understand why I can't farm yet.

Thanks! It makes a lot more sense now. It said the lumberjacking skill would increase chopping speed but in reality you need it to chop wood at all. The game lied to me ;_;

Expect lore and flavor text in the game to be out of date. That's not the only one that is wrong. Always check the new player guides and the wiki for the most up-to-date info. (Even then, they can be dated.)
