My boat was trapped inside the cabin wall!

Yeah, so, I have my HF in a log cabin, ported with a boat full of goodies, then crashed. Came back and, what a surprise, the boat is in the wall (despite having quite a lot of open room in the cabin).

My questions:
1. Has anyone managed to recover something stuck in the wall that isn't right on the edge?
2. If I destroy the cabin, will the boat reappear outside?
3. Whats the best way to go about destroying a cabin?

1) There is no normal way in regaining the boat.
2) When a house is destroy, each item within the house has a chance of taking a random amount of damage so your boat may appear damaged.
3) The most advisable to destroy the house is to build a ram.

The soak value on houses aren't quite as much as walls, but it'll take at least 289 Str with a sledgehammer to even damage a log cabin.

Make sure to empty out cupboards first. They only have 1 HP.

Best way to avoid this in the future: don't port to a HF inside a small building. Use the village totem!

Anyone have an idea of the 'hit points' for a timber house?

I'm wondering how long it would take me to destroy a cabin with a ram...

Did you check the wiki under 'Timber House'? I'm not sure the HP are listed for the houses, but the soak values are.
