Water Quality...?

Postby calebsnow » Thu Jun 30, 2011 4:16 pm

I'm currently only sitting on a q10 well... I'm wondering if I make a higher than q10 dowsing rod, and destroy my current well, if I'd end up with a slightly higher (~rod quality) well to work with?

No. The water quality is found in nodes.

Should I find a decent node along the river, before building the wells? Or should I just run around building wells until I find a decent q?

Typically speaking you'll have a better chance of finding a river node, but the good ones are mostly claimed by this point in the world. Best you could hope for is likely in the Q40 range. Wells are a pain in the ass to build, but you have a small chance of finding a very good Q node inland where no one has ever bothered before. Also note that wells apparently don't lower quality when you're drawing from them, so you have unlimited supply. River/lake nodes degrade as you use them and need to be given time to recharge.
