I'm Taming! Help Please

I've gone through the first pattern, and queled the beast. Do I need to wait for him to aggro to restart, or can I/a friend shoot one of his buddies to speed it up?

you can go away to lose target from battle and you will see a"?" in animals avatar,wait,then go back and atack another of the group and if battle is again you atack this what you tamed

So to make sure we're on the same page... I can quell the beast, shoot another of the herd to "force" aggro on the one im taming, and quell him again without having to wait 15-20 minutes for him to aggro me?

And with 2 ropes, could I quell one, shoot another, quell it, repeat?

Never, ever, ever shoot animals while taming. If you accidentally hit a miracle shot you undo one of the taming attempts. You can force aggro quite easily by using a non damage move like call thunder instead. And yes, with two ropes you can tame two at a time.
