gradouble wrote:I think u can't mine a terrain when it's already mined underground, so a underground village is defendable as long as u have mined the tiles within ur brickwall or pali (u cant mine on terrain just upward to get into it-at least thats what i was told, nobody tried it in my underground village).

No, you can't dig up into the layer above. There's no reason you can't other than the devs haven't provided us the tools to do so (ie an upwards mine hole).
