Effects of Removing a Chick from a Coop?

I've searched and couldn't find anything on this exact topic.

So I'm wondering, if you have a chick in one coop, and you move it to another coop, does it affect anything? Does it restart the growing process? (like an item on a herbalist table or a curiosity would restart if you pick it up and move it)
