personal claim abandoned...

Near my little home I noticed a mine walled up and claimed with a personal claim. However, I believe it is abandoned due to the fact that nothing moves within the claim and the walls are decaying. I know that I could construct a village totem and claim the land, but I'm not even close to being able to do that. Nor am I even close to trespassing and such to get on the claim. Is there anything else that can be done to get that land and mine? Do old accounts get wiped after a certain period of time so other people can use stuff that no one ever uses? There is a pretty big village near as well that no one ever uses. No people, no movement, nothing. Thanks for the help.

Personal Claims do not decay. As you mentioned either save up for black skills and trespass into it or save up to make a village on it and declaim it. The declaiming it would be better because than you wouldn't be leaving scents all the time.

Only thing you can do is build a village totem and declaim the land. Know that it takes 25x more authority to declaim a plot as it took for the owner to claim the land.

No, accounts are not deleted nor are claims released when an account goes inactive.

Thank you kindly for the advice and answers. I figured there was nothing I could do, but I thought I'd ask anyways, by the far chance there was another option. I hate seeing the palisade walls falling apart around a great resource like a mine and no one using it. What a waste. Thanks everyone and happy hunting.
