Destroying my hearthfire

What's the fastest and easiest way to destroy my HF?

I have 17 str, which obviously isnt enough, i also have a pickaxe, which doesnt help at all.

16 and a pickaxe is enough. it's going to be very slow though.

Wait what the heck happened, i almost had my hearthfire broken, i left the room for a drink, i come back and its fully repaired

I've had that happen when leaving the area the HF is in or just leaving the HF for too long. Seems to just repair itself when the area reloads
