Bear spawn?

Every so often I sail down the river to hunt and there's this place that I have found where I saw a bear 3 times. Does this mean animals have selected spawns?

No, it means you're a lucky bastard, and that I'm jealous. 
Creatures do not have set spawn areas, it's completely random, from what I know.
However, civilized areas will have spawn weaker creatures, I believe - not sure if it affects their spawn rate or not.

That whole weaker creatures part only affects deer now i believe. Its pretty strange with how it works and im beginning to think deer lvl is also random. I've seen a total of 3 packs of deer this world that were lower then lvl 10. Oddly enough, right outside pandemonium, i found lvl 10 deer though which makes me think their lvl is random =s

I killed some Level 10 deer this morning, in a pretty empty area. A little paving/claim/house to the west...

Animal levels are pretty much fixed now. Fox is always 4, boars 5 or 6, deer and bear are 9 or 10.

I've never seen a bear that wasn't 10, and every fox skin I've gotten has been q16. I'm inclined to believe that they're fixed.

MagicMan actually boars are (usually) Level 7 and deers are (usually) Level 10.
Last world I was in a very crowded area and I remember Level 2 deer spawning in that neighborhood

They can go down, those are just the usual maxes now.
Deer/Bear 10
Boar 6 or 7 don't remember
