Quick way of killing yourself?

So uh... After some flailing around I seem to have landed my character into a rather unsalvageable situation, and despite death being inevitable at this point I can't seem to actually well... Die. partly because animals besides toads seem to be refusing to spawn near me at all. It all started out okay, but then things started going down hill after failing to catch a rabbit due to getting hung up on a tree, shortly thereafter lag caused me to lose my shoes while baiting ants away from their nest (which had worked twice before and probably would have worked this time if lag hadn't locked me in place while they brutalized me), and I've reached a point were I'm constantly falling unconscious due to thorns and what food I DO manage to forage tends to be drained quickly by healing. Now I've reached the starving point and kinda want to put my character out of his misery and try again with the lessons. There are a few claimed plots and towns around me, but they're all Russian/Korean/Chinese which would make asking for assistance slightly difficult.

So yeah, I need a quick way to off myself basically.

Should be possible to get Carpentry with easy discoveries, once you get that you can make new clogs.

Get the swimming skill and go in the water and wait till your stamina runs out and you'll probably start losing health.

I was in this exact same situation on my first day playing. I didn't suicide. I learned that I could make new shoes (clogs) out of blocks of wood. I kept wandering and found a grassland with lots of apples and nuts to eat. I lived long enough to set up a little home for myself.

Then I got oneshotted by a bear the next day.

Why bother killing yourself, just make a new character? Sounds like you don't have much in terms of stats/skills worth inheriting.

Situation resolved, I ended up just sitting out in the middle of the swamp not far from my camp and letting the leeches eat me. I actually managed to get 1000 LP refunded (which is a fair bit above what I would have gotten from starting over and rediscovering things) and three free dragon flies (and some bloated leeches) out of the deal. Hopefully this attempt works out better and I don't get hung up on the terrain while chasing animals. Part of my problem, as far as I can tell, is I seem to be right in the middle of a grid that is entirely coniferous forest or something. Though, as long as I avoid ant mounds for a while and boost explore back up I should be fine, especially since I should have a little extra time on the clock since I don't have to build my LP back up as much or rebuild my camp again (two leantos, a bed, two wicker baskets, a dream catcher, a new hearth fire, and a weird barrel of water I found just sitting around in the middle of nowhere.), also I don't have to buy heart magic immediately again since I didn't spawn dangerously close to any towns this time, the closest owned area being a Russian place with RUS written all over the ground and even that is a good ways off I think.

pro-tip for catching rabbits: walk right up to them, like right on top of them, and right click them. make sure you have 2x2 free space in inventory.
