I found a cave and i heard that you can mine with stone axes, so i tried doing this, but it always says the rock is too hard for you too mine.

Skorm theres no need to be an asshole to him. You cant mind that rock because u dont have enough str or a high enough quality axe. I think the formula for mining str is sqrt(str*axe quality). The easiest way to get higher str would be to get a bear cape and bear tooth talisman by killing a bear

Honestly, while I'm usually respectful of an honest noob question, I have to say that this one should be VERY obvious. If it's too hard to mine, then you need to be stronger...

Also check the wiki, the article for mining lists this out in detail.

Better yet, point them at the wiki. I know the mining information is there. (Sevenless posted it a few months back. That's assuming someone hasn't erased it.)

However, the question has been asked a hundred times in the last 6 months. The odds of missing a search is not very likely.

Pro tip: Use Google and restrict the domain to havenandhearth.com. phpBB's search system sucks big ass.

There is a HUGE Difference Between Questions or Doubts Newbies may have, and being lazy( not searching, there is a wiki, a Search Button, TONS of posts) , read Some of the " newbies" posts, i generally help To Solve Newbies may have, and suggest to use the Search Button.
