Boards...

I want to make boards and I've searched the forums and wiki, as far as I can see I've done everything right, but...

I have chopped down a tree, it has 3 logs, I have a bonesaw equipped and nothing in the other hand.
When I click on a log I only get the "chop into blocks" option.

My carpentry is 3.



What am I missing?
Do I need to find and "see" a board before I can make them or something?

It's driving me crazy and there are about 200 blocks of wood littering my campsite as a result of my attempts lol.

I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing, thank you in advance for any help you can give this poor noob.

did you made the saw ? or someone gave it to you ? You got carpentry?

I made the saw from the bones of a rabbit I caught and sticks using the guide here on the forums.
The carpentry stat in my attributes tab is 3 (I was thinking maybe I needed to level it or something?).

There's a carpentry skill and a carpentry attribute.

ah ok I see, I found it.
I get it now, unfortunatly I spent all my points so I'll have to wait until I can learn the skill before I get my boards, but at least I know now.

It is advised to make Pine Cone cows out of Pine Cones and branches.
It is one of the best way to make LP early on, as it provides 50 base LP, and at 360% learning rate, I believe it provides 360 LP!

Fir Cones. Cone Cows use Fir Cones, not Pine Cones. If you are in a broad leaf forest (the kind with apple trees), then you can't make them, you will have to live off Dandelions and shit.
