Often as an indication of the degree of your maturity and commitment. How accurate this is in measuring such attributes is questionable but that does not stop people regardless.

Honestly, even which world you first started in isn't much of an indicator. I don't particularly want people who played in W3 for a week and then quit waiting for a reset so they could have a fair playing field. It indicates a mentality of how you view others playing the game matters more to you than actually playing the game.

It may well be due simply to the fact that more mature players have different interests/goals than younger players, and remember that you have to talk to your villagers too!
As a more mature (ahem) player myself I have different real life topics that I enjoy discussing and they would not be of interest to a younger player, just as a younger players priorities may not be of any interest to me.
Also more mature content of conversation is not necessarily appropriate to younger players.
Its not just about how good you are at the game but about how you fit into the current village gamer base

I agree highly with the above two.

Most immature 12 year olds just want to mine and be come masterz of d'ironz n'shit.

These folk are very, very selfish in every case I have seen and are the downfall of the village, either because of their stupidity in the village, greediness outside of the village or generally being an arrogant loudmouth rat to other people out of the village, bringing mayhem onto the village. :|

It is sad that no one will take a chance on you, but to allow someone into your village is a risk, and unfortunately you are being judged by others of your age that have been played with.

The only suggestion I can put forward at this time is that there must be other players in your same position, could you not build a village together with them? Advertise for other people who have found this problem to band together with you and show all us oldies that you can be successful :D

I genuinely wish you all the best, I understand how hard it is to be judged by who others are, and not who you are
Good luck

Excuse me for these harsh words, but it is quite important that you have a certain degree of maturity when attempting to join a community, or a village, and you must be fairly communicative if you wish to maintain a stable, friendly relationship with the rest of your villagers. And by studying your posts for some time, it seems to be you do not have the necessary diplomatic skills to make a successful recruitment thread.

But fear not, for I am here!
Here's a few friendly tips;
1. Work on your English a bit, I've noticed that most village recruitment threads require at least average English language skills
2. Start off in a lesser village, help with construction, farming, build up your reputation, so someone may put in a good word for you in future attempts of joining a grander village
3. If you are unable to make a good post, make one of your e-friends help you out on that one! Don't count in your worst characteristics, mask them up with your good ones!
RIP Thorin.

Dyslexia affects your ability to press Shift at the start of a sentence and press the . key? :|
