question about rate of trading steel and clay

but i cant find what`s proper rate of clay and steel

Better to just make a thread in Apples for Oranges with a title of something like "WTB qXX+ clay for q10+ steel".

Given the time it takes to make, I'm sure you'll get someone to sell you some clay of the quality you're looking for just to save them the effort. Just ask for offers and wait a few days and take the best.

30-40 is low q, it shouldn't be too expensive. I'd guesstimate you can get 10-20 pcs per bar, but I could be wrong.

Given the quality of clay he's looking for, I thought he might get a bit more. I didn't want to put a number on it because the range could possibly be wide depending on responses. People need trash Q steel for all kinds of things, and there's a lot of hermits that are sitting on middle Q clay (or know of some) that might not be interested in the whole mining and smelting process.

Actually, I can vouch for that. My fledgling village would love some steel (or iron, probably) for things like hoes and shovels, and we've got a ton of clay available.
