Catching Plaice

Any tips? I'm at the right time, in the right place, but I can't seem to catch any. All I'm getting is bream and other assorted fishes. Any tips? My pole is only q5, where does it need to be to get Plaice?

Sure you're at the right "plaice"? It can be hard to get to the proper spot to catch the fish you want. What are you fishing with? What's the phase of the moon? Are you sure you're in shallow or deep water and on the correct area (river or lake)?

just from my own experience, you can catch plaice where you catch bream.
iirc, you are at the right spot but most likely wrong time, and/or wrong bait.

Completely agree.

Guess I should have mentioned this above: I almost always fish with worms, sometimes leeches, mostly because lures take too long. I've had the best of luck with those. You can also use intestines if you have extras around. I've not tested them extensively, so I really can't tell you how much they differ from worms and leeches, if any.
