Ctrl+Shift+mousewheel will move them between containers in order of quality, highest moving first. Doesn't work with seed bags, those tend to be bad for farming. I plant 1x20 farm plots, which with full nature means that a cupboard holds 21 plant's worth of seeds (3 seed x 20 plants < 8*8 cupboard). This makes for very convenient sorting, as I can harvest everything, toss it in the cupboard, withdraw 20 via the previously mentioned method, and then replant. For larger field, just make a new row and use a new cupboard. This means every row is an independent batch with its own quality level, but I've not found an easy way to cross-plant fields. It may be better to cross-plant for quality, but you'll get a half-dozen plants 1-2 q higher doing that, and I find that the convenience of simple 1x20's makes up for the marginal quality drop. Farming is difficult enough, but my method makes it fairly easy and straightforward. It also scales for other sized containers, coffers hold 25 for an 8 area plot, so you could use 1x8 rows and coffers instead. Or whatever container you've got.
