I have to disagree with this. From my experience it's closer to 65-75%
Out of 6 batches (54 cast iron) I got 39 bloom.

Worth further testing, but I can't help. From my experience, it's right at 50%

I've decided to abandon my old settlement. It was getting too crowded in the area and my brother who was helping me keep it up quit playing. It was too much for me to do by myself. If I decide to join another village, I might work it up, though.
