Strongboxes

Is there any way to make strongboxes indestructible?

i.e. putting a strongbox somewhere where they cant build a ram or something.
How much STR would you need to sledgehammer a strongbox open?

Read it has 40 soak, higher than a Palisade.

Can you even use a ram to destroy a strongbox?

If I'm correct, you would need 1369 strength to destroy strongbox with sledgehammer

Is there anyone who has that kind of STR playing?

Also, can you build ram in a cellar?

First off, don't build the boxes in a celler. if you lose the keys, you can never get the shit back, pretty sure you can't build a ram i n a celler and if you break the house, the boxes poof. Found this out the hard way bout a week ago.

hmm.. didn't think about the house breaking part.

Where else could you build a strongbox but you couldn't build a ram nearby?

I'm pretty sure as long as it's in the ground level, it "will" still exist if you break the house, just not in the celler or maybe second floor.

Certain tiny islands formed around lakes. I've seen one that was 1 tile, another than was ~4 tiles. They usually form where a river enters a lake, or especially where two rivers enter a lake.

Eventually nowhere will be safe because someone somewhere will have the strength to break a strongbox by hand. People were brick wall bashing in w3, which is why you can no longer bash brick walls. (Need in excess of 4k str to do that.) You have to have a ram. No such change has been made for strongboxes.

Thx for the reply, magicman.

I guess using a 2-sacked alt to store valuables would be the best way to go.
