Twitch Hunting

Postby preacherzero » Thu Aug 04, 2011 4:17 pm

I've been reading about this technique and it seems a lot more time/energy efficient than signpost trapping (doesn't leave ugly signpost corrals cluttering up my island either).

So on with the questions.
1. Does it still work?
2. Any tips on using this method?

I use it, its pro, First attack the animal, i normaly miss the first shot on purpose, then they come to the shore, Charge as far as you normaly charge, and then wait.... And then it will twich every 10 seconds or so, as soon as it twitches , shoot.

thats the whole process xD
i think its a bug

I bagged a fox with it but when I tried it on a boar the bastard ran so I wasn't sure if I actually did it or just got lucky with a dumb fox.
I wonder if there is different timing for different animals?

On a side note, I was once slinging a fox, he broke and ran, I got out of the boat, he deaggro'd, I slinged him again and he ran at me... but didn't attack.
He kept following me, sticking right beside me but never attacked and I slinged him into a bloody pulp. :D

But anyway, is that normal or a bug?

All animals, if they run, cannot attack you when they return. bear in mind though that if combat is broken? (Thier little pic in the upper corner disapears) they can re-aggro and attack you again.
