How high should I raise perception and exploration? Does it have a 200 point cap like I have read about survival? or is the higher the score better?

If you just want it for foraging 50*50 is good and no it has no ''cap'' it is used for finding scents
I see said the blind man....But he didn't see at all.

According to http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Foraging
The max you need for foraging is product of 6400, that's when you see all the Edelweiss'.
Be it 80x80 or 100x64.

Remember that certain items will increase your exploration and perception. Spectacles and ranger cape are the easiest ones to aquire

There is no actual cap for any skill or attribute. You're thinking of Survival, which used to have a practical cap of 200. There was nothing you could produce that needed Survival of more than 200.

Just remember: It can be easier to raise some attributes than spending LP increasing the relating skill. And there's nothing wrong with pushing beyond the normal limit as a buffer to future death.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
