Per*exp question.

this may be a silly question but i dont get it.
if i have 11PER and 8EXP(88Per*exp)
then i should be able to see the WWW and lady dews mantle,right?(80 and 80-100per exp needed for those)
and like one of the guides stated that it was better to go Per/Exp first because of some curiosity that gave 6000LP(nerved to 3000 now i think).

80 would be minimum for both items. We can assume, that at 80 perc*exp you have minimal chance to see the item (like 1%?), and at 4*80 you have maximal chance (100%).
So this 100% scales through 240, from 80 to 320. Having 88 perc*exp would mean you have like 3-4% to see those herbs.

Of course there are many assumptions, like that the chance scales linearily, and that the chance to see herb is close to 0 at the minimal perc*exp needed to see it.

Yes, but there is a random element to it. The higher your skill the more reliably you can find them. So they might still seem pretty rare at 88 because you're not always able to see all of them that might be on your screen. In fact, they might be rare enough that you are thinking it doesn't work. Just keep raising your stats and looking, you'll find them eventually.
