I've been here for a few months, but I guess I'm still a little nooby; what exactly is a hearth vault? I've heard the term several times, but it doesn't show up on the wiki.

a hearth Vault is a small easily defensible area to keep your hearth fire, allowing you to commit crimes without fear of retribution while offline.

Are Statues destroyable? I always thought they were not at full auth, but i recently heard they were always destroyable by ram. If so is it even possible to still build "real" hearthvaults now?

Statues (and banners) can only be destroyed if the authority drops below 50k in which it can be destroyed by mundane Adventure > Destroy command.
