Installing Enders

Hello,

I'm new to Haven and Hearth, and I've been bouncing around through various beginners guides trying to figure things out. Several guides have recommended getting a client like Enders to play the game on. I've found the client and downloaded it (I think anyway...I'm only so-so when it comes to computer speak), but can't for the life of me figure out how to install it or open it or really, do anything with it aside from downloading the file. I can unzip it, but have no idea where to unzip to. I've tried googling for an easy installation guide, but can't seem to find anything that isn't using uber-computer speak that doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever.

I'm kind've surprised that there hasn't been anyone else asking this question (that I can find anyway), given that the install page gives no clues as to what to do with the file. I'm not completely unfamiliar with added user content stuff as I played WoW for a long time and never had too many issues with installing addons for that game, and same goes for the Sims user content stuff. If someone could give me a bit of a newb guide to installing the client, I'd really appreciate it!!

Unzip it somewhere simple that you can easily get to such as C:/HnH/.
Now go into the folder and double click the file run.bat
If you have any troubleshooting issues, The Wizard's Tower is a great place to look for information on how to solve your specific issues.

Thanks so much for the help!! Got it up and running now, though I do have a question about it:

The first time I played with the Enders client I was excited to see the global chat window rather than being limited to the (usually very quiet) area chat. However, every time I've logged in since that first time the global chat does not show up. I checked through the options thinking I'd accidentally turned it off, but if it's there I don't see it. Does it only show up when other people are using it (and I'm just happening to log on when no one is)? Or is there some other explanation. I'm so lonely without it.

Click on the red cross in your menu box (xtended - second row 1st box) and the click on global chat.

Or key x and then g
