Optimal exp*per ?

Postby Momoka » Tue Aug 23, 2011 12:34 pm

What's the optimal exp*per a character can have? I assume there must be a top limit since the collectables are limited in number.

Edelweiss requires highest per*exp (1600) to be seen, so at 6400 you can see all and every foragable object.

When it comes to tracking - there is no limit

To explain a bit further:

Tracking is based on the perpetrator's Stealth * Int. The bigger the difference in the criminal's scent and the tracker's Per * Exp, the easier or harder it becomes to track. This difference also determines how many scents you get when gathering them and if you actually see the scent on the screen.

To quote some others from the forums, 10,000 is an optimal number for a combination of being a ranger and forager. However, it's entirely possible someone pushes their stealth score way beyond this. Otherwise, if all you want to do is forage, the 6400 score is the highest you need to go. Since attributes are much easier to raise than Exploration, it's usually advised to only go to about 50-75 in Expl and get the rest, 90-128, in Perception (which will help you with ranged combat, too.)

Coming from someone who has had to track 180 degree deltas (at 16k exp*perc) and even 270 degree deltas when the game bugs out and hates me...i can say there really is no limit on the exp*perc you should get ;)
