It's effected by your nature/industry slider, I assume you are full nature? :)

Wiki:
Like Gray Clay, your ability to harvest Feldspar depends on your Nature/Industry slider, with 100% Nature characters only having a 50% chance to successfully harvest one feldspar rock.

What makes you think it shouldn't appear in mudflats?

It appears in mudflats and on mountains. What are all those other terrain types you're speaking of?

Seem to recall it appears on one of the grasslands, too. Forget which, and can't be bothered to double check.

I have seen them on grassland and even water (on a minor degree). I am full nature so that explains the mudflat ones, the strange thing for me is that i never got one outside a mountain so it seemed bugged

It is not bugged. It is called chance.

Feldspar grows on 3 kinds of terrain: Moor (this is the yellow grass, right?), mudflats and mountains. They do not appear on water, that is grey clay.

Also moved to "How do I?" since this is a gameplay question and not a bug.
