Max damage.

Postby Mateusz_Zboj » Sun Sep 04, 2011 9:47 am

I have some problems with formulas for max damage as it shows something lower that I actually have hit.

What would be the max damage for 87ql bronze sword and 36 STR with full peaceful slider?

615.076007 HP. Did you make sure that the target was moving?

I was using 10ql miltia sword and managed to kill boar with one valorous strike blow at 10% defence bar (boar's).
I thundered up to 30IP, opp. knocked his defence, then valorous striked. It didn't even show damage, just death cloud of boar.

Assuming you had a 0 defense target, a q10 militia sword with 36 strength would deal 275.5 HP.

Which is more HP than a boar has, I believe. (Lvl * 40)

Strange, Boar should have 280 HP, which should make him remain some HP. Maybe it's because i had neutral slider?
Or were I being using that fancy bear cape?

@up
The bear was 7 lvl so 7*40=280.

The information on the wiki is incorrect as it has a good chance that it still scales linear but have a different minimum value (in algebra terms y = mx + b, it's the b. The slope (m) value is probably different as well). A bear cape would give a decent amount of additional damage if your strength value is low.

What are you referring to? Damage does NOT scale linearly based on quality of weapon and strength. Animal HP do, however.

Yes I was refering to the animal HP, not the damage.

Animal HP are strictly lvl * base. I've not seen a variation on this ever.
