Quick Question About Trees.

The RoB wiki is not a lot of help when it comes to tree growing, can someone please tell me if you get a log from a stage 5 fir tree or just wood blocks? matter of fact if you know this about any other trees it would be vary helpful. :)

Isn't stage 5 the final stage for firs? Could you link the article you're looking at? In any case, Apple, Mulberry, and Hazelnut trees are the only ones that give blocks on the next to last growth stage. All others give one (fir, birch, elm) or two (pine, oak, maple) logs

Sure sorry I should of done that http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Fir_Tree the 5th is the 2ed from the last, I know you get 2 when it is done but I only have one good fir tree and did not want to risk cutting it down if I don't even get a log. Thanks for the help. :D

I assume we are talking about second-to-last phase of growth.
In this case:
- trees that normally give 2 logs will give only 1 in this phase
- trees that normally give 1 log will give 4 wood blocks in this phase
- trees that normally give 3 logs - I don't know

One could assume 4 blocks, but if you're growing 3 log trees, it's probably not for the blocks they give, not to mention the loss in quality gains from cutting down that early.

I didn't even think to look there. I was trying to count them out in my head. From the looks of the wiki page, stage 5 is the last normal growth stage. The rest of the growth comes from the random decay tick needed to fully mature a tree.

If trees, that normally give 2 logs, give 1 in second-to-last phase, why would 3-logged trees give only blocks?
Also, trees in second-to-last phase already have maximum quality, so no quality loss here

Just from counting down stages (not from actual experience):

Full: 3
Full -1: 2
Full -2: 1
Full -3: blocks

Of course, looking at the fir tree page, one could guess that it might actually be:

Full: 3
Full -1: 2
Full -2: 1 or 2
Full -3: 1
Full -4: blocks
Full -6: branches

The fir is the only page with all the growth periods listed, so any other trees are actually only guesses without prior experience. I'm familiar enough with fir and mulberry, else I'd try to fill the others out myself.
