Tracking

Hey up !

Ok I'm kinda annoyed. A friend and I began the game like 2 months ago. We found a nice place, empty of life. In august we were not there due to work, and when we came back some people raided our little town. Ok we thougt about building a palissade, but apparently too many people can palibash right now, and it's useless. We can't really make brickwall.

And in the past few days some people came and raided us again. But this time, I have scents. BUT when I use them, its like 2/3rd of a pizza, and I can't really figure out how to track the hearth efficiently. Any help on that would be appreciated, thx

Use ender client, it will save the Pie-arrow. You can even triangulate with this. If you have proper military power, you will get your revange very soon now.
(Remember to tick-on "show dowsing" in options)

If its showing 2/3rds of a pie, that means your perc*exploration vs the perpetrator's int*stealth sucks really bad, and you probably won't be able to track him. Remember scents decay over a period of time (there are ways around this, but that is up to you to find out.)

As for the palisade being useless: Yes there are people who can pally bash. But it takes 676 strength to do so (484 with sledgehammer). There aren't as many people as you think with 676 str (484 with sledgehammer). And if they do have that much strength, I'm sure they have better shit to do than pally bash your humble settlement. In other words: BUILD A DAMN PALISADE ASAP: KEEP THE PETTY THIEVES OUT.
