Any veterans that could help?

Postby ToxicVocals » Sat Sep 17, 2011 7:36 am

I started playing just today. I ran around for two hours trying to find a rabbit or chicken for a bone. No luck. Any tips on finding them?

Use Ender's Client and hide objects. There are generally plenty, they're just hiding behind rocks and trees and stuff.
Also, make sure you explore Large areas. Substantially larger than what you think is big. As a newbie your sense of scale is greatly diminutive compared to the game itself. It'll take you a bit to adjust.

I could not figure out how to use the client for the life of me. How do I do that?
Sorry, as I said just started today.

No worries. If you were having trouble getting the client to start for you, there are lots of flow charts and helpful posts and individuals in The Wizard's Tower to get it working. If you're having trouble with the commands, to hide objects you need to open up options, go to the objects menu, and select which objects to hide. Then to toggle Hide on and off, use the command ctrl+h. It makes the world look barren and ugly but it makes it so much easier to spot wildlife and raiders.

Nothing to update. Just go to the Ender's Client thread viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14575 and download the client http://www.mediafire.com/hnh_ender. Extract it and run run.bat

Ah! Now I've got it!
I must now refer to the flow chart for the other issue.
Thanks a lot!
