Does grevious damage that is raised from moving the personal belief slider all the way to death effect damage against animals or just players?

In case you're still considering taking this:

Not even hard-core raiders and PKers go death. They all go life because that extra HP buffer is worth a lot more than that little bit extra damage. Odds are, if you're doing enough damage to character for the bonus from death to have an effect, you're probably already winning (or won) the fight anyway.

If you want more damage vs animals, increase your strength. The problem: the only belief slider that increases strength is the Barbarism/Civilization slider. Going towards Barbarism (extra str) decreases your Intelligence, which means slower LP gain early on. Even a stone axe is pretty good damage vs animals (not counting bears), though.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
