Should I feel bad?

Ill be honest. When I need something or see something cool from an unprotected village. I take it. Ive stolen shoes, food leather straps and a few noob items I snatched because I ahd never seen them before.
I don't grief and only do take things I could use to my advantage. Sometimes I even barter (more or less).
So is this bad of me to do? I feel its part of the game experience and I do feel a little bad upon doing it.

You can do whatever you'd like to do in this game. Sometimes there will be consequences and sometimes there won't be. Nothing is inherently right or wrong.

No, stealing from noobs is not wrong. My first day on my current character, I stole a boat and cruised down the river taking stuff from wicker baskets by the riverside. 2 very important lessons.

1. Never leave your items outside of claimed areas (learn yeomanry)

2. Never build a settlement within screen view of a river. It's an easy way to get griefed.

Mate, remember one thing - all the things you see were taken form The-Mother-Earth-World-Five. What is not claimed belongs to nobody. When you take a few things form a ghost camp then it is okay.

But when you constantly rob camps where newbies live and try to make ends meet, then it might not be okay. Just do what you heart says. Stealing form camps is at least less-evil than killing avatars and destroying villages.
