Were you aggroed or engaged in combat in any way? If not, there's a good chance you live. If you are in combat, you were dead before you finished posting this.

Sorry MagicMan >.>

For the record, if someone is outside shooting at you, and you survive the initial shots. It's in your best interest to get inside a house ASAP, then when the agro wears off you can log out. If you log out or close the window while in combat, you sit there until either they de agro you or you die.

If you can log out, and you don't have any active scents, then you will at least be able to keep your character.

@MagicManICT

while your critic is right because the way he wrote doesn't differ from OPs i think we do have lot of non english mothertongue forum users like me who'd like to help...

So it's the Ops fault too not being understood - how do Chars popp through Pallisades? And what the heck is discoed???

Sure this is a forum where the official language is english (with few allowed exceptions in D+T threads) - but english doesn't mean slang ...

The OP stated that he popped in through the palisade. Either through bugs or an open gate (or a closed palisade or the guy broke through.... so on and so forth), getting inside will only make a marginal difference. The guy might just be far enough away to duck into the building before combat breaks. Logging out before combat breaks just means you'll stand there like an idiot when he re-engages combat because he was inside the palisade and can just enter the same building. I can only go by what the OP stated, not what might be or might not be. Being an emergency situation, I figured he (or she) needed immediate information. Given the approximate 15 minute delay between the OP and my reply, there wasn't much else to say and wanted to get a quick reply up before going into anything of length. However, the OP never replied back about what more had happened so there hasn't been much else to say.

And as I didn't answer it: Yes, it is possible for people to get through a palisade in a lot of ways. A couple of them are bugs (and thus an exploit of unintentional game mechanics), but the majority are the fault of the person building the palisade. The usual mistakes people make: building the palisade up against the cliff and leaving wiggle room a character can walk through, leaving keys around where they can be stolen, or just flat leaving gates open. One of the typical bugs that are exploited has to do with using cliffs as part of the enclosure. A commonly reoccurring issue is players figuring out a way to use objects to jump over cliffs where they wouldn't be able to do the same thing with a normal palisade or brick wall. The other bug involves village objects and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it for the time being. Other bugs may exist, but I haven't read about them. The last way to get into a palisade, have about 500+ strength and a sledgehammer. You can break it down in under 30 minutes and a couple flasks of water. What can you do about that? Build a brick wall instead.

Borka: Yes, a lot of people are non-native English speakers. If you'd search my post history, I've gotten onto people about this before. You don't put up inflammatory comments just because an OP can't type proper English. You also can't expect quick help if your post can't be understood by a majority of players. Yeah, this OP was full of slang and abbreviations. His fault if he couldn't get help fast enough because he can't or won't write proper English. All EyeOfRa did in his first post was flame the OP. People come here for help, not to get flamed.

For those not well versed in English:

disco: Generally, a popular form of music and dance that died in the early 80s (but somehow got resurrected over the last 10 years), but completely not what is being referred to here. To disco in a game is short for Disconnect. I find it funny that it's the same word... Coincidence? I think not! It's common in gamer circles and been around for quite a while. Better translators should have picked up on it by now. (Question will be if there's a common abbreviation or slang term in the target language.)

 nope - i'm just a BOF

After some more thinking i came to the conclusion - discoed = disconnected too

Prolly cuz having been a ProDJ for looong years i'm not able to see the word "disco" not connected with music or disotheques (which are called disco in germany often) :P ...and i've never heard "discoed" in my gamer circles (international) before..."disconned" only.

maybe i am just too much of a BOF...

Thanx MagicMan for taking the time and being around!

to OP,

1) when you have a building or a mine/cave around, go inside, wait till aggro(combat mode) drops, and log out for your life. if no building is near you, still run asap into your nearest building. running can make it harder for archers to hit you. but be sure not to use up all your stamina or you will end up crawling and get caught.
2) make a new charactor (or use a throw-away alt that you have) and check the site. some raiders may talk and explain. some may just kill you. this is to get info on raiders without loss. sometimes you may need to make more than a couple of alts to do this.
3) if you die, make a new charactor without inheriting, check around first in case the raiders are still around. (inherit after you make sure you are safe, otherwise your re-incarnated main may get killed again.)
4) if possible, put valuables in your inventory or your alt's inventory and log out.
5) if possible, take a screenshot of raiders, so that you can show it to others for information what lvl raiders they are. (people usually want to know their equipments, e.g., Dragon helms, bear cape, Ranger bow or S.sword or B12, and so on.) when you post your screenshot, make sure to hide your mini-map or some critical information that you do not want others to see.
6) if possible, count how many raiders there are to raid you.
7) if running away fails and you get caught by melee/ua fighters, try fighting back anyways with punch or whatever available to you at that time. you'll never know what can happen...well, sometimes...

when you have time...
8) locate yourself. find your coordinates from map so that you know your exact location if a helper offers to come help you out. however, avoid posting your coords in public (unless you are too desperate), just give a general location such as NW or SE on your thread.
9) try building brickwalls as soon as possible, and go patroll around walls once a day. refer to this guide for details.
10) prepare a throw-away alt or two for scouting. (or to check out if raiders are gone or not)
11) do NOT leave scents when you know you cannot defend yourself.
and
12) be nice to others you meet and make as many friends as possible. (but do not expect everyone to be nice to you :P)

to borka,
i never knew "disco" meant "disconnected" either.... ive seen and used "dc'ed" or "c-lost" though...
for me, "disco" has always meant disco music or a place where you go dancing ;) but, maybe ... its our age 8-)
