I've gone through 8 LC and more or less 4 invetories(4x6) of just clams. I boiled them all for pearls. >.< So far no pearls. is this normal? am I just super unlucky? or are there any tricks to increase the chances of getting pearls?

It's all luck dude, it happens to all of us. I had a long streak for about the same amount as you. Just keep at it dude, you'll get it eventually =)

Well I went for another trip with my 2 LC and my boat, and again no pearl.
I guess I'm just unlucky, around 600 clams and no pearl.

This doesn't seem right for 1% chance per clam. Doing probablility math, it is very unlikely. This leads me to believe that another system is in place. I want to test this theory or atleast get the proper percent for success.

Assuming 1% of getting a pearl for every clam is correct, the chance of not getting a pearl would be 99%(.99)
P=(0.99)^600=0.24%
Chance of getting 1 or more pearls
1-P=99.76%

Anyone got a mod/bot to record clams and pearls at real world time, game time, moon phases of the game, and any other factors would be nice too. Then puts it into the excel sheet of some sort. I want to check for time patterns. I'll try to program one myself if I can't find one, but I am not the best programmer.

I'm re-posting because noone answereed. Either they don't know(un probable. SOMEONE is bound to know) or just missed the question..

I'm confused in regards to Barter Stands..the wiki says it works the same as any other containers in regards to theft, unclaimed you can just take things out.
Well, I have an unclaimed one nearby that's been decaying for awhile so I know noone frequents it. But I've tried taking the items out of the stand but nothing happens. I click 'em, right click 'em, the whole nine yards. Nothing.

Can anyone help? Perhaps I'm doing something wrong? I know for a fact it's on unclaimed ground becuase it's in my area and I've had it claimed before, but then I read that so I unclaimed it, and I still cannot take them. I nor any of my alts or anyone I know is the owner to this stand. There are still some items in it.

I saw it, as I'm sure others did, and I really can't answer that. I know with theft you can access and steal from it no matter where it's at. Beyond that....

Maybe it needs its own thread for discussion instead of getting lost where many people won't think to look?

I'm confused in regards to Barter Stands...

Here's something I thought of after using a barter stand today - is it at all possible you're trying to take something from the stand that's displayed on the right side of a slot? Ie, between one space on the left and the "Change" button?
Because that's not actually in there, that's just the requested payment that was set up. Other than that, wouldn't know either. :/

I have a feeling that what Silvertron said was what the situation is. Regardless. I took a screen to help in figuring it out.

Yep X) that was it. There are no intestines in there, they were just set as payment previously.

When there's actually items for sale, they are displayed as a little sprite on the stand itself as well, so you can see them without opening the UI.
And if there were previously paid intestines for the taking in there, it would display "Have: (number)" next to them.

That's wrong as long as it's activated.
