Animal Food Eaten Quality for New Cows

Postby Amezarak » Fri Sep 23, 2011 6:42 am

Recently I just domesticated two new cows. I screwed up and gave them fodder below q10. Currently their Food Eaten rating says 9 and hasn't budged in quite a few days. The fodder they have now is q16 and has been for quite a few days. Are they permanently stuck down at q9?

Thanks for any info.

No, but it raises slowly if cows are not pregnant. They eat only like 5 units per day, and some amount of food they had eaten in the past counts as well.
Also make sure that they are in range of the trough.

I was thinking it was averaged over their lifetime, but it could just maintain over a period of a few weeks. I've never really kept track beyond my first few animals.

Ah okay, thanks for the info. I just bred one of my cows and it says the food eaten has finally raised to q10. Not great, but at least I know it isn't permanently stuck.

Quality of food eaten really only matters when you go to butcher them. If it's lower than the number in it's stats, then it's softcapped. (Believe this is for quality and quantity stats, could be mistaken and just be for quality.)
