Is it normal I've raided two ant nests but have gotten nothing from them ?

Sometimes you can have nothing by raiding ants, you were bad-lucky if you got nothing from 2 of them :P

I just got yeomanry last night and set up a claim. Took me 2-3 nights (10-12 irl hours) and cooking a large batch of curios though out the time. I got it through cone cows, dandelions, primitive dolls, fishy eyeballs, and ladybugs.

So my advice, keep studying something, even if you have to stop by a tree to make a cone cow (35-50 LP every 20 minutes can add up.

I secured alot of Dandelion, Primitive Dolls and Emerald Dragonfly, aswell as a bunch of cone cows so I'll have LP coming for a while, but what to do while waiting ? Also if I die it's over forever? Oh and when I'm logged off in the wild can I get killed

Secure food and start building up your camp. And yes.

Yeah... definitely start on the camp. Find a good location and begin fencing in a section and building the cabin and such.

And always sleep in a safe place, preferable inside.

No. If you log off while standing around, you just disappear, unless you're in combat with something. If you try to log off while in combat (e.g. if you've just raided an ant hill and not run away far enough for the combat window to disappear), your character will remain standing there with zzz coming out of their head. If you log off while carrying something (e.g. a boat or a crate), it falls to the ground and stays there while you disappear.

On the other hand, if you buy expensive 'black skills' and use them to commit crimes, it's possible for you to be summon killed while offline. This is not something that you do by accident, so don't worry about it (Yeomanry costs 6000 lp; Theft costs 50 200 lp, what would you rather buy with that many points right now?).

On the ant front, i've had seven empty ant hills out of eight.

FTFY. ;) Just as a note for the OP: Theft requires Trespassing, which is why min stated 50k (plus Will to Power, which is 200, but you're going to want that one for combat skills, anyway). Also, the 6k is the cost of all the skills needed to buy Yeomanry, but you're going to want to buy those skills for other things, anyway, so it's hard to say yeomanry costs 6k overall unlike theft where you might not want to bother with trespassing to steal things (though without trespassing you're stuck stealing things left outside and can't use doors, gates, or caves on another's claim).

(Just annoys me when people post summed costs and don't explain it.)
