Removing Cave-ins

Postby Pwnlord » Mon Sep 26, 2011 1:03 am

It's happened. Even with the zig-zag pattern and extreme care, I've been hit by a cave-in!

Now I just need to know-how do I remove the fallen rocks? Mining? According to Jorb, leaving them there increases risk of more, and we really don't need that.

Can they be removed?

No need for a pick axe, it just slows it down. Use a sledgehammer instead. (In case you have neither, a stone axe is better than nothing.)

Uhm, no, pick adds 2 to damage, better than axe's 1.

To rephrase: use a sledgehammer instead of a pick. However, if you have neither pick nor sledge, at least use a stone axe.

Interesting.

Funnily enough-I checked first, that's why I'm asking here-there is not an article on cave-ins on Ring of Brodgar. Should I add it, do you think?

If you want. What will it add that the article on mining doesn't?

The note that Cave-Ins must be demolished, not mined or dug.

Why would you mine or dig a boulder? I never even tried either of these. I thought it was pretty obvious, but maybe it isn't. The goal is to destroy it, after all.

If you feel something needs to go on the wiki, it'd probably just be better to make a subsection on the mining page. I'm not sure it calls for it's own page.
