What was wrong with this fox?

Postby Westraptor » Tue Sep 27, 2011 4:39 am

so i was out hunting today and i killed tons of foxes. but the last fox i killed was very hard and i missed almost every shot. I even got my MM fully up and missed. Is this a glitch or what? I never missed this many times in a row. I was wearing a backpack and had a full inventory of rocks and missed almost half. I still killed it though :D

Either a glitch or you just suck :P

I joke, but yes I've had a similar problem with things like frogs.

Punch with full attack meter and miss every time, etc

Melee attacks work differently than ranged attacks. Melee attacks will always hit (there is the rare exception of some random bug or server inconsistency, but is the rare exception). Melee attacks do damage to the targets defense until the defense is gone, then if any attack left over, damage is dealt to HP. Ranged attacks have a percentage chance of missing based on how full you let the aim meter get and always deal damage if it hits.
