Best Cheese Setup

Postby jordancoles » Thu Sep 29, 2011 6:15 pm

So I currently have a brick walled area with a village claim, a mansion, 3 houses (kitchen, curio, farm) and a 50x50 (?) sized plot that I'd like to turn into a cheese factory and I was wondering what the best way to go about it would be? Any suggestions for me? I have cellars, cabins, outdoors (obviously) and I am in the process of making a minehole.

do NOT make a minehole inside ur own village. you will griefed and raided.
Trust me on this. if u do, i'd brickwall the area u plan to built a mine hole in before u build it. and once built brickwall the mine at the botton inside the cave uve dug into also. it is a major security risk.

Yes atm I have enough steel made up for another brick wall, I was thinking of possibly making a brick wall up top with a CR going inside and then brick walling the underside with a gate so as to save resources. Not sure if it's the best idea though.

Edit: Not sure if it was clear. I'd like to make one of the walls without a gate and just a crossroad so that I wouldn't need another 5 steel.

I found this with cupboards in cellars, just replace cupboards with racks. The mine and outside racks are more easy to do since there is more space.

it makes sense. we sadly have a mine hole in village, we have that brickwalled wth a gate, although its not entirely necessary, since its never opened, and a cr to get into it. then brickwall the bottom, with no gate since there isnt a need.

u could do both without gates tbh. but thats up to u.

i would have a mansion with cupboards to store rennet, intestines, ready made cheese and cheest trays.
space to have ur curdling tubs
basement for the cheest racks all alone
then some space next to the mansion for ourtdoor racks and more built in the mine, since u'll need racks in three areas

I use Sarchi's layout :V

I also have the mansions underground, So I can pretty much make most cheeses I want without having to port around
