How do you invite someone to village remotely with partybug

Right now the party icons can't be seen and the minimap "x" indicator is not showing. I understand phenomena as a bug. When this phenomena happened weeks ago, I was able to trade to someone via Idol hopping. I was given an oath remotely (not in proximity of my character) via party . How did the trader do this when the party frames weren't visible? Basically I had to wait on their trade post since I wasn't able to invite myself back to the village.

I had this same problem, and put in the hotfix and now my client just closes whenever I try to log into my character.
