Personal claims vs. Village claims

Postby Flordeliza » Mon Oct 03, 2011 2:45 pm

Lets say...

FACTS:
I am living near a big village.
I am not part of the village.
I have a stake claim in my own little space.
The village is expanding towards my place.

Question:
1. IF that village;s claim manages to reach my personal claim, will my personal claim be subjected to the lawspeaker's / chieftains power to declaim my land?
2. Is it even possible to overpower/ encapsulate my personal claim with their village claim?
3. If they do cover me with their village claim, how will the LS or the chieftain remove the claim?

TY

1) Yes
2) yes
3) The lawspeaker pushes the button under government called "Revoke the privilege!" and clicks on your claim. It drains the villages authority to revoke a personal claim, so if your claim is big enough they might not be able to do it. However, the best defense against it is to just build a village claim.

Adventure -> Found Village. You need lawspeaking to found a village and to have discovered the materials required for the idol (bones, deer antlers, bear teeth)

oh i have a follow-up question.

if they do intend to declaim my stake. do they have to cover my claim entirely or just the portion where my stake is located?

I'm not completely sure on that...i think they just have to cover any portion of your claim to be able to declaim it, i could be wrong though.

Also they have to physically stand on your claim to declaim it.

But there is one thing to note - removing claims is quite costly. If personal claim is big enough then village might not be able to declaim it.
For each tile of personal claim village must pay 250 authority.
Village starts with 250k authority.

To remove claim of size, let's say, 50x50, village would have to pay 625k authority. Which is quite a lot already.
So if you make your personal claim big enough they will not be able to remove it.

You will be even safer if you place your own village idol :)

If someone declaimed my claim, would I gain no LP at all?

I *think* you get all the LP you used in the claim back as per usual.

You do, but there's a minor bug. A player that has been revoked must use the "Declaim" command in the Adventure menu to get their LP back.
