Surviving H&H after being gone for quite a few months?

Postby ceriux » Mon Oct 03, 2011 9:23 pm

Well, i stopped playing H&H a while ago, recently i'v returned to see that the land is bare of any food, the only food around is controlled by other players, so that is not an option. basically i cant just keep walking around working on the skills i have the materials to work on with, cause eventually im just going to starve and die. does anyone have a solution? (all apple tree's, berry trees are gone!)

How long ago was it you played? There was a world reset in March due to unforeseen consequences of a new game mechanic. You should have no problem finding food once you have more than a couple of points in exploration. I'm guessing from your post you didn't play more than a day or two before else you'd know how to find food and to avoid spawning at charter stones.

um, it was quite a while ago that i stopped playing, but i played for 1 or 2 months. i was doing pretty well, then someone came and took all of my hard earned items ,crops, and animals. so i stopped playing.. the main differences i'v noticed is that the game lags quite a bit now and that i cant find apple tree's anywhere just spruce. i made a couple characters (which i cant find a way to delete) just to find better spots to start off at. would you mind explaining how to avoid spawning near charter stones? cause they're everywhere.

Go up the ladder not the cellar.

Foraging is the most useful skill ever.
Hunting is the second most useful skill ever.
After that you need to put some points into Exploration.
Get farming once you discovered the first seeds.
Animal Husbandry -> Leather Working is always useful.
etc

Exploration = foraging success...
Marksmanship = hunting success
Survival = quality success to an extent

I would get exploration and survival up first....say to 50 or so...then marksmanship...after that you can raise other skills however you deem needed...

thanks , one more question. i tried to check out enders client. but it loads but wont connect? i setup the bat file like it was explained in the thread.

PS: the devs should make it to where if you out run a boar/attacker they stop following you after a while...
