Treeplanting

Postby Cicious » Wed Oct 05, 2011 8:22 pm

I have serveral questions about this topic as the Wiki isn't specific in certain areas :

- Does farming affect the treeplanting progress at all?
- When you calculate the Q of the sprout you're growing should I follow this formula : Herbalist Table Q + Treepot Q + Seed Q + Water Q + Soil Q = Total Q / 5 = Sprout Q?
- How fast do trees grow on their native grounds, and if you plant grassland before planting a sprout by the 'Plant Grass' option, does this count as a native groundtype towards Grasstype trees?

Thanks in advance :3

1. Farming is a softcap of tree quality, when the seed is placed into the pot. Other than that, it's irrelevant
2. Q = ((qPot + qSoil + qWater + qTable)/4 + qSeed)/2 + {-2, +5}
Note this is approximate, but seems to be very accurate most of the time. Information found here
3. I'm not fully sure, but the difference is visible. And yes, it would count towards grasstype trees.

It just means the end result has a variance of -2 to +5

Ex. ((50 + 71 + 35 + 140)/4 + 70)/2 + {-2, +5} = 70-77

Trees don't die in the ground on their own. Someone must be chopping them

No skill to do the work that I'm aware of, but as was pointed out in the post above:

Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
