How do I respawn at my old hearth fire?

Welp, I just got roflstomped by some Aurochs in search for LP (lame way to die ;A;) and I made a new character inheriting my old ones stuff, but how do i respawn at my old characters/ancestors hearth fire?

Go up the ladder after inheriting. It should work unless your HF was broken.
