It's not the first time it was mentioned on the forums, just the first time in this thread. I believe it came up shortly after the start of w7 and we never found out if it was a real bug in coding, anti-griefing mechanic, or unintended consequence of the change to a hardcap on survival activities. Neither loftar nor jorb ever commented on the discussion. Also, nobody else could confirm how much more you could get from this.

I harvested hemp buds by mistake with a char with no farming and they came up nice Q.
I also think it was a full industry char, but now Im not sure.

Nature industry slider doesn't matter as you always get exactly one.

All harvesting of crops, hemp buds included, are softcapped by your farming skill. Given enough Q on the crops, even a completely untrained farmer will still get a good quality, but it's still lower than if you'd picked it with your farmer.

They changed it I can use a brand new alt and harvest hemp buds and they will come out the Q planted.

Yeah, they came up the planted Q and if I harvest with the farmer they come up the same Q.


Edit: Maybe because they only 190?, You are saying that if they where higher there would be a difference depending which toon I use to harvest?.
