But that's not viking enough. You're supposed to set the boat ablaze after setting it adrift.

I would if I could

Just pick up a square container, step a square or two away and right click the container you want to place it next to and you will drop the container your carrying neatly next to the first.

This is done by holding shift when you set the container down. Some objects are larger than a single tile, though, and won't place "neatly" in some dimensions (crates, herbalist tables, etc).

Didn't see if this was talked about.
He isn't talking about setting down items aligned to the grid but placing the item as close as possible to another item.
Attempt this with two crates vertically, the crates would be closer together than two crates aligned to the grid. More crates could be put in a set area than if they were all aligned to the grid. This would probably be useful to keep boats tidy with their wonky invisible sides. But I haven't tried so.
But this is probably only useful for crates and possibly make them harder to click/access vertically.
Work on a mining thread for me. Here are my shitty mining notes. http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22391&start=2100#p352159

Other than "aligned to grid", there is no way to make them nice and neat without repeated attempts. If you're that anal about building alignment (like me), then you learn how many pixels off the previous container/item to drop it. ;)
Check out my RoB wiki user page for some useful links and other HnH related tidbits (currently under construction).

When a decayhit hits the cart, it kills one (or perhaps more) of the cupboards. This happened to me several times, works the same way with decay of animal corpses kept in carts. costly lesson for loosing three aurochsen

I was wrong about this btw, sorry all. Been testing it and the cupboards still live. Probably someone stole them in my old cart.

Those of us who use contribute to the wiki already did tests after you came out with that statement :)

Some of us saw the statement for the BS it was and told him the answer even though he refused to believe it.

You can easily burn hunger by hand-plowing a few tiles, then guzzling q10 water. It drains hunger very quickly.
