Well, it's been a while. Questions.

I was really into H&H for months and months, but I ended up quitting right before the Curio update. I don't really even know where to begin anymore, as I'm lost without the ability to grind chopping wood for hours on end to muster up a bit of LP. Is there a thread anywhere that outlines exactly how the game is played these days for a returning player? I remember using various threads for tips and tricks on getting started when I first began to play the game, so it'd be nice to have something like that again. I don't want an entire step-by-step guide as though I'd never played the game before. I just want to get the gist of what has changed, and how my style of playing has to change to play again. I'd like to get back into the game quickly with as little pain as possible. I haven't found a game that has held my attention like H&H did in the past. Thank you!

Well, if you had to grind for LP in the old system, you were probably doing it wrong ;)

Best thing I can tell you is to re-read the Welcome thread (should be an explanation of curios and the study system there) and skim through Sevenless's guide. 90% of Sevenless's guide will be old stuff, but you might pick up some information on the curio system that wasn't in Jackard's Weclome thread.

The curios system was the only thing that changed between 4 and 5 if I recall. (There's been a few other changes, but not really noticeable to average gameplay).

Touche. I'm sure I was doing everything wrong. Just havin' fun, aha.
Okay, thanks for the tips! I'll go do that right away.

Well, that is the point of playing a game. Everyone had their LP grinds, though. Some people it was farming, others was hunting.

If you have any more questions about the curio system, shoot. There's a pretty good write up on discoveries and curiosities on the Ring of Brodgar wiki.
