Shocked frog/crafting question

Postby Amanda44 » Tue Nov 01, 2011 2:38 pm

I'm lucky enough to have found a shocked frog and a royal toadstool, after reading the wiki i realise i should keep them til i find a frogs crown to make the prince charming, however, i live nowhere near mountains, i've never even seen mountains, not even in W5! And i was wondering are there many mountains randomly placed or just an area of mountains?

Also, does the frog die if kept indefinately in my inventory like other animals?

Just edited, got all ingredients now, have more questions, end of thread.

Mountains are randomly placed and there aren't many scattered around the world.
Frogs can live indefinitely, I have been holding one since day 3 of world 6 (it is my lucky frog).

mountains are not that rare and they are usually quite big. look for big grey areas on the minimap

I think they made some areas with no mountains this time around. I've been searching for a mountain near me since my first day, and asking anyone I saw who wasn't holding a weapon. Noone in my area seems to have found a mountain yet.

I've given up my daily searches(went out for an hour plus following different rivers) since I found good quality stone mining, but it would still be nice to have 1 around for the mountain only foragables...

The world gen is random. Some areas are stuck without mountains, other areas are abundant with them. You'll see one within 30 minutes of your settlement when the map gets put up by algeralith, I'm sure.
