Well, this is probably not THAT great for such an early game stage due to low quality, but I found wishbones to be pretty easy to farm. Just raise chickens. They're pretty low maintenance. Kill all inferior cocks and hens and butcher. Get their wishbones. Maybe you'll get lucky and even get a golden egg. :)

if you're doing that may as well use feather dusters too...not really great but with good chicken quality they're ok

So if I were to raise chickens, how would one find them? Because I can't raise chickens without chickens to lay eggs and stuff.

go around to heaths, moors, and grasslands(you know the places where animals actually spawn) and you may find chickens. they're easy to get, just like rabbits. if your farming goods aren't quite up to where you need them, you can even feed them things you forage to get an ok fodder quality. also I'd suggest building your coop before you go out to get chickens so you don't have any suprises on straw needs.

Heaths are purplish, moors are like light greenish, and the grasslands are like those lush, dark green shade, correct?

I always get heath and moor confused, but yes those are the right 3 area types...
