Postby CaptainMidget » Fri Nov 04, 2011 11:12 pm

Last time i tried taming more then 1 animal at once in W3 i was able to tame 4 cows (with seperate rope for each) Now i tried it in W6, But it doesnt work? Have they fixed the ability to tame multiple animals with different ropes?

if you enequip the rope it starts the process over, 2 at a time is max.

Can you verify that you've tried to tame 2 at the same time then, As in. Have you done that in W6 yet? ... Also, Taming one animal whilst someone else tames near you apparently fucks up the process?

(That?)

Yeah, that's a bit of a known bug. Something about aggro mechanics breaking it, I think, though that's more of a guess than anything.

Im pretty sure what MagicICTman said, I cannot tame anymore of the same herd once my friend moved away? So, I guess it breaks it for the entire herd possibley?

i have trained 2 animals at once.
you can be the only one trying and no one else attacking. So kill all but 2 then have the ropes in hand.
They both will be able to train then.

Why would you kill other animals?
If you leave only 2 alive then taming process will be much longer, since you will have to wait for those 2 to reaggro.

In case you didn't know - you can speed the taming process for auroxen and mouflons, assuming there are more animals in the herd than the ones you tame, and they are all fenced.
After you do the initial taming just run away until combat is dropped. Then run back and attack any animal from the herd, except for the ones you were taming. This will make the ones you tamed reaggro on you. But since you didn't attack them - taming process is not lost. There - no need to wait for them to reaggro.
