A very "Bear" problem

Guys I finished to build the palisade, take a rest and after 2 hours a bear spawned inside the palisade. My question is: Can I kill the bear staying outside the palisade without let him destroy the palisade?

You can kill him from outside the palisade yes. He won't be able to break through it.

Another option is to simply log out for ~20 minutes so that the bear will despawn.
